Attendance and Support at Gradings

Why Attend a Grading If You’re Not Grading?

I strongly encourage students to attend Hapkido grading events even when they are not grading themselves.

Support your training partners

Being there to support your fellow students helps build a strong club culture and repays the support they have given you when you were grading.

Help out

Non-grading students are often needed as partners for those who are grading. Your attendance can make a real difference to how smoothly the grading runs.

Learn what to expect

Watching a grading gives newer students a better understanding of what to expect when their turn comes.

See the standard

Watching higher grades test gives you a clear visual goal and helps you understand the standard you are working towards in your own training.

A grading is not just an event for the students who are testing. It is an important part of the whole club, and everyone has a role to play in making it successful.
